Any Huskers out there? It's the annual Cornhusker Club membership drive. I know it's a long shot in the heart of Sooner/Cowboy territory, but I have been shocked by the number of Nebraska families we've found here in Tulsa (with five familes at Big B's elementary school alone, including someoneI went to grade school with!). Email me for more info or download an application from the website listed below.
My sister and her three kiddos came to visit this week for their Spring Break. There is always drama with three extra kids in the house. Usually they bring some illness that rivals the plague, but this time they cursed us with plumbing issues. The hot water heater officially died and was replaced yesterday. Last visit, the air conditioner died and was replaced. Coincidence or curse?
My younger niece is a total crack-up at four years old. She loved having someone younger than her to boss around with my daughter. She also tends to belt out show tunes throughout the day -- sang "It's a Hard-Knock Life" at full volume, word for word when frustrated yesterday. She gets truly excited over clothes ("not the normal ones, the pretty ones like with sparkles and ruffles"). She discusses Hannah Montana and the Jo Bros like a tween, and can out-burp all the cousins. Little L is the cutest, craziest, most vibrant girl ever!
The studio is officially closed for new portrait sessions until the first of May. I will still be processing preschool order forms, portrait orders, and catching up on paperwork, but not shooting again for a few weeks. I have Lasik eye surgery scheduled for next week and am taking advantage of the forced time-out to send a camera and lens in for cleaning and maintenace. As always, email is the quickest way to contact me, so don't hesitate to call with questions or orders. Thanks!
Happy Easter to all, and Happy Birthday to Dan! Hope the Easter Bunny leaves you all lots of delicious Mini Eggs (the chocolate eggs in purple package that are addictive) and none of those nasty Cadbury eggs that have the gooey yolk inside.
I had the best photo shoot with my own kiddos last week thanks to Aunt Ellie helping make smiles. My kids hate when I make them pose in fancy clothes (pretty much anything with a button or snap). My kids rocked and I'm so grateful that I finally have a decent portrait of them to frame for the husband's new office.
